Kneehigh Theatre, The Lost Gardens of Heligan
www.kneehigh.co.uk 30th August - 28th September 2014
Dead Dog in a Suitcase (and other love songs) will have its Cornish premiere at the Asylum in September 2014, in the stunning location of the Lost Gardens of Heligan near Mevagissey and the Kneehigh barns. After a sell out run of Hansel & Gretel in 2010, we're thrilled to be returning to these magical gardens to present our brand new version of The Beggar's Opera.
Kneehigh ticket holders will be able to access the gardens from 6pm on the day of the performance. If you want more time to explore (and we think you will!) book a combined show + garden ticket to enjoy all day in the gardens. (last entry 6:30pm)
The restaurant in the gardens will be open before the show: experience the taste of Heligan as the kitchens will use both their own and locally sourced meat and vegetables in a seasonal and delicious menu created especially for the Asylum. And of course, the Kneehigh Asylum bar will be open for business!
Kneehigh are a UK based theatre company with a local, national and international profile. For over 30 years we have created vigorous, popular and challenging theatre and perform with the joyful anarchy that audiences have come to expect from this ground-breaking company.
Kneehigh tell stories. Based in Cornwall in breath-taking barns on the south coast we create theatre of humanity on an epic and tiny scale. We work with an ever-changing ensemble of performers, artists, technicians, administrators, makers and musicians and are passionate about our multi-disciplined creative process.

In previous years, these have included Circus, Choirs, Bands, Musicals and Plays ranging from Alice in Wonderland to The Taming of the Shrew.
